美國有個很讚的博物館免費的喔!而且可以拍照喔!
位於美國東岸的華盛頓國家自然博物館!包羅萬象的博物館其中的地質學寶石和礦物質館及Harry Winston Gallery,(The National Gem Collection)收藏豐富令人捨不得眨一下眼,真的很棒喔!對於喜愛珠寶金工的人可是福音呢!絕對值得大力推荐,現在州政府不收費,未來會不會收費就不得而知了,若有機會到美國別忘了要來走一走喔!
一天可能不夠,要多留幾天的時間.
在館內可看到礦石礦坑,更把其礦石結構跟原石在館內充份展現,真是讓我這個入門不深的人大開眼界喔!
參觀人員不乏觀光客更有當地學生前來校外教學,除了看,有些礦石還可親手觸摸感受,只能說當地的學生真的很有福氣呢!
希望之星 The Hope Diamond (Harry Winston Gallery)
weighs45.52carats and measures25.60x21.78x12.00mm.
屬最早的老式寶石為“國家寶石收集”(17世紀在印度切割很棒的鑽石跟祖母綠)西班牙宗教裁判所的項鍊，大型中央祖母綠重約45克拉。

The large emerald weighs approximately45carats.
